  Astounding views!

  Liked: The view is unmatched!!! It is perched above Deia, in the most incredible location, overlooking the village out to the sea. Wouldn’t have seen how picturesque the community is had I not stayed here. Would highly recommend for the view only, but on top of that the place is quaint, friendly owners, and laid back vibe. Thank you!

  Liked: The location. The surrounding is beautiful

  Disliked: A beautiful place ruined by terrible hospitality. If you’re looking for a pleasant way to start your holiday in Deià, I strongly suggest booking somewhere else. Some people simply aren’t suited to working in hospitality, and unfortunately, the owner seems to be one of them. We booked several days in advance, and the listing clearly stated that check-in was available until 11:30 pm. Yet we received no communication until 7:25 pm on the day of our arrival, when the owner messaged asking what time we would arrive. We were driving through the mountains with no internet connection, so we couldn’t respond. We arrived at 7:45 pm, after navigating a particularly difficult road (definitely not suitable for larger cars), only to discover there was nowhere to park. Instead of a warm welcome, we were greeted by an incredibly rude and visibly irritated owner. He immediately complained that we hadn’t replied to his message and that our car was too big. What a lovely way to start a holiday! At that point, we genuinely wanted to leave. He eventually calmed down and apologised, explaining that another guest had left some luggage behind and that he had spent the entire day unsuccessfully trying to contact them. Apparently, this was why he was so upset. While I can understand that situations can be stressful, taking your frustration out on arriving guests is completely unacceptable. As he himself admitted, it wasn’t our problem. He eventually moved his own car so we could park. Another detail conveniently missing from the listing: there is no lift, only stairs. If you’re travelling with heavy luggage, be prepared to carry everything yourself. I am pregnant, and no assistance was offered. The following morning, we hoped breakfast might be an opportunity for a more pleasant interaction. Unfortunately, no such luck. The owner once again seemed stressed, impatient and irritated by every question.

  Liked: The view was great and convenient to the town with a short walk

  Disliked: Host was quite grumpy and overwhelmed at breakfast as they where on there own. Got angry when we said we didn’t eat meat! Although there was know where to show preferences for breakfast. Breakfast was mediocre.

  Nice place in the nice village
