Fabulous
Liked: Fabulous and very Central
A great location for exploring the Cies Islands, and a comfortable stay in Vigo
Liked: We booked this because how often do you get to sleep on a boat? Plus it was located at the marina, 2 minutes from the ferry to the Cies Islands. We have been on a similar boat before so the space and beds were what we expected. The two beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. The sitting area was comfortable, and there were chair pads to put on the deck to watch the stars and listen to the sounds around the marina. The price was really good for the location and experience. Parking was nearby, and the car was safe and sound for the few days we were exploring Vigo.
Disliked: Two main things. First, the check-in was frustrating. First, we arrived at the marina area with no idea where the host would be. And the boat is in the part of the marina behind a locked gate so we couldn't even wander around to find the boat. We didn't park because we weren't sure where to go, so I hopped out and borrowed wi-fi from the yacht club to text the host. After some time, he responded and sent another person to check us in, but I didn't know who it was. I finally saw a woman looking around the marina area and asked if she was looking for me. Sadly we only speak English, and couldn't communicate with her so all she could do was hand us a key. The second thing I didn't like was the smell from the toilet. We barely used the bathroom on the boat because we were mostly out, and we didn't shower there, but the smell was really intense. And, for the three days, the host couldn't get the Wi-Fi working so we felt pretty stuck (the host did come by and try to fix the Wi-fi but it still didn't work, which wasn't great because it was listed as a feature of the rental, and we needed to check into flights and had to go find a coffee shop in a mall nearby to do that). With unique rental options, we expect some unexpected things, but the check in was stressful and confusing when it could have been smooth and easy, and this is the first boat where the toilet smell was too much. If those things can be fixed, this stay would have been rated very highly.
Disliked: I had a reservation for me and my family (including 2 kids). I agreed with the owner to meet with a person responsible at 17.30 to enter the accommodation. I rushed my kids and husband to arrive there on time, but when we arrived there was no one there. We waited for 40 minutes. No one. And the phone of the owner was turned off. I did not have the contact of the other person responsible who was supposed to meet us. We took our things back to the car and went for a coffee nearby. At 18.30 i returned to the meeting place but there was still no-one there. Around 19.30 i was contacted by the owner saying that the person responsible is now there. When i called her to advise that as we are further away now (we went for a walk) then it will take around 20 min to get back there (considering that we were with 2 kids). Instead of apologizing for the situation she got upset with the fact that she had to stay waiting. After this situation that messed up our plans completely and unpleasant attitude by the person in responsible i decided to ask for cancellation. Luckily we could drive back home for the night, but my 4 year old son is still upset for not being able to sleep in the boat. Hopefully these kind of situations are not frequent, but for us things didnt work out.

Liked: The boat was a dream! Very relaxing and comfortable, within easy walking distance of much of central Vigo.
Disliked: I had no complaints whatsoever.
