Exceptional
Great small hotel
Liked: Lovely small hotel. Great value for money. The room was not big, but enough for the four of us. The set up is simple but everything is very clean and nice. Location is great. Would definitely stay there again.
Good location, clean and super charming surrounding. Will recommend to others strongly!
Liked: Location, cleanliness most of all! it is located in a very charming city in Spain and not far from the sea. Plenty of restaurants around and the access to the room is all electronically controlled. Very nice experience.
Disliked: Maybe the parking situation is a little difficult but this is beyond the hotel's control since it is perched in a hill and with limited access to close-by parking but I was able to park at the local church's parking provided you leave early in the morning.

Good clean Hotel in the centre of this small Village, with some great views
Liked: We stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Rural L'Antic Portal in early June. The hotel reception was manned when we arrived. We managed to park behind the hotel near the lovely church to drop off our cases. Then parked at the village public car park which was free, 5-7 mins walk away. Good sized room, with air con & comfy bed. Plus very clean with great views each way from the balcony. We didn't book breakfast with hotel, we had this at the local Patisserie, which was very popular with the locals. Several bars & cafe's on the local La Font plaza nearby. As it was early June, there were limited options for eating and drinking in the evenings. Especially on the Sunday evening, there was nothing open!! We did visit the Castle and Modern Art Museum, both a must see.

Perfect short break in a really interesting town
Liked: The location is spectacular, with amazing views. The hotel was very clean, and very cosy. Breakfast was lovely and very good value for money. The receptionist/cook was very welcoming and friendly.
Disliked: The check in procedure woukd have been difficult, if the receptionist hadn't been there.
Close to center
Liked: The location was perfect for going into the town. The bed and bathtub were super comfortable.
Disliked: The office closed immediately after my arrival, so the nice map of the town that I forgot to ask for, was locked behind a door until 9 am. I knew I had to park away from the hotel, that's not a big deal, but five blocks to walk back up a steep hill to the hotel might be a problem for some.
