Exceptional
Convenient & clean
Liked: Location outside of city center
Disliked: Could use a little updating
Good clean spacious and comfortable rooms but don't eat there
Liked: The room and ensuite were spacious, clean and beds comfortable. Although I booked a double bed we were given 2 single beds put together. Great location for passing through.
Disliked: No bottled water for our room or tea-making facilities. The food in the restaurant let down the entire stay. Lack of choice. Came out luke warm and put on cold plates. No vegetables. Actually diabolically poor standard. Waitress didn't even provide us with basics like condiments. Asked for fresh 9range juice and got some concentrated awful stuff. It was pretty dire.
Liked: Rooms were great. It was a little farther from the train than i would prefer
Great stay at Diagonal
Liked: The large comfortable room and bed.
Disliked: The night receptionist seemed a little unfriendly but perhaps it was a language issue more than anything
Alright for a short stay
Liked: Clean hotel, available free parking and spacious room. Good value for money for a very short stay.
Disliked: Window doesn’t close well and it was cold ( they added a door to isolate which also didn’t close well), the pillows need to be changes as they are old, stained and unusable, the restaurant food is very poor quality and pricy for what it offers, reception staff doesn’t speak Spanish or English properly and was hard to communicate.
Liked: The Hotel is in a good location near the motorways, clean and tidy, with excellent and helpful reception staff. The secure parking is what drew us, as we were going on holiday and had a car full of belongings which we didn’t want to have to unload. It was perfectly safe.
Disliked: The restaurant didn’t open till 8pm so we’d had a couple of drinks while we waited. Then we had the problems with the food, which was unsatisfactory. The manager was called to the kitchen, but didn’t bother to speak with us. We decided to eat elsewhere instead, but there wasn’t nothing at all available in the area. Not even food delivery, as we were so far out of the town delivery core. We’d had a drink by then so we couldn’t drive. Ended up hungry after a 800km drive!!! Not a great situation.
