Stunning position in Zaragoza
Liked: The absolute best thing was the location - the apartment building is in an unbeatable position directly opposite the cathedral in a stunning square - and it's quiet too. The apartment itself doesn't look out at the cathedral - so don't expect to have a picturesque view from the property - you'll just see other apartment buildings. Size of the apartment was as expected. Keys were easy to pick up at a hotel which was about two streets away. The instructions to find the apartment could have been clearer. Plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops and a street or two away from the main river. About an 8 minute walk to a Mercadona supermarket if you're self-catering. The hotel will look after your luggage if you check out and need to store your cases.
Disliked: The place was generally clean but the soft sofas and chairs were a little worn. The kitchen equipment was rather limited - the hosts had obviously counted four of everything to keep track. I think the price was steep but as we were there for the 2026 eclipse, I think all accommodation in Zaragoza was probably more expensive that weekend.
Probably the best location in town
Liked: The apartment was very spacious, consisting of a living room with a kitchen and two separate bedrooms. Its biggest advantage is its location in the very center of the city. Despite this, it was quiet, as the windows faced the courtyard. The owner collaborates with a nearby underground parking garage, so you can park nearby for a reasonable price. The staff at the key collection point were very helpful.
Disliked: The name "El balcon a la basilica" is misleading in this case, as there is no view of the basilica and no balcony at all. Collecting the keys at a location other than the apartments, combined with the maze of narrow one-way streets, creates a bit of a problem, especially if you arrive by car.

Liked: Great location to visit all the attractions of Zaragoza. You are in front of the basilica. The apartment is very comfortable and clean.
Disliked: If you have a car, be prepared to pay for parking as you are in the centre of the city. The recommended car park is near Indigo.
