Guest reviews
Good
Nice lake to swim in but other guests made us feel uncomfortable
Liked: Lovely to have a lake to swim in directly from the hotel and guests have access to wellness area with different saunas, steam room etc. deck area of restaurant was a lovely location for a meal. Dinner was great and special diets could be catered for.
Disliked: Hotel seemed a bit tired, there was a large crack in the wall of the room we had and the bathroom drains weren’t fully functional (shower water backed up and took ages to drain away). Shower rail was also very flimsy and wonky. Didn’t like the smell of cigarettes in the main entrance and indoors in general and for a “healthy” hotel, the breakfast wasn’t a knockout of healthy options. Very unfortunate that the continuous background sound was that of the very busy main road immediately behind the hotel. May have been over sensitive but also felt that we were ridiculed in the wellness area for not being naked! (Even though hotel website says this is entirely acceptable, it felt the people using the space felt otherwise).
Great location, but a bit tired
Liked: The room was small with only one small window, the rooms were a bit dated. But the location is excellent.
Disliked: The breakfast was average and didn't have many options
Not good unless your a mature nudist, low standards and like rude people plus paying too much
Liked: Leaving!
Disliked: -Host complained about bringing the car close to the entrance to unload bags -Double beds were not twin as requested, even though we emailed to no response, then called 4 days earlier to confirm beds -They gave us sheets to change ourselves, but after moving the beds, we discovered the filth under the bed; it was disgusting -Then wanted to charge for more people as they claim there was only 1 per room It is a Nudist colony, so we were intimidated to not use the wellness centre or lake; either you have to go naked with colleagues, or you're a pervert -The push-button coffee machine was on and in a hallway. I got in trouble making a coffee; he said it was for Brekky only, why no signs or why even on? -No help with what facilities are available, and we could not find any of the spa facilities advertised without the nude area; we only found a small sauna and locker rooms -Host was rude, short-mannered, and unfriendly -As I could not find the wellness centre, we went to the bar, and the host said the terrace was only for eating; we had to have drinks inside. -Then he would not allow me in the bar as I had sandals ready for a wellness visit ( a dress code at a nudist colony) -The shower is a hand-held in a bath, -The low roofs mean if you stand up, you hit your head -No fan or AC in our attic room, and it was really hot and uncomfortable -The welcoming water container with fruit was not topped up/replaced for the whole time of our stay -Whoever owns the hotel has low standards -None of the staff were friendly
Do not recommend it, even though the price was ok
Liked: Not much
Disliked: Location Incorrect representation on pictures, of a hotel that is not in best shape and condition
Liked: The setting
Disliked: We weren’t told beforehand that the wellness area was nude so my children couldn’t go in there and swim in the lake. Also the room wasn’t made up for the three of us. I didn’t find the staff very welcoming.
Liked: The view of the lake and mountains
Disliked: It was an ok accommodation, needs an upgrade. For an overnight stay it did the job.
