  Fabulous apartment in great location

  Liked: Great location, very near the cathedral, bars & restaurants. The apartment was clean, well-appointed & had everything you need for a short stay. Especially liked the artwork & high ceilings. We were able to leave luggage on our last day while we went off for breakfast. We recommend RAS for dinner & Zorro for lunch.

  Disliked: 2 couples could be a little disappointed that the beds/bedrooms were un equal in size, have to toss a coin...

  Does not have AC

  Liked: The location and the apartment itself are great! The furniture is high quality. The management is highly responsive when messaged.

  Disliked: The property DOES NOT have AC. The manager has not updated the listing to reflect that. The apartment has an evaporative air cooler (aka a Fan you can put water on it). I complained, they argue it was a language issue and apologized, that they thought it qualified as an AC and admit their mistakes and got a partial refund (10%). The listing here still says they have AC, its been 2 months therefore Im leaving a review so others know it does not have an AC unit. (The air cooler dropped the temperature by 1 degree so its a fan with high aspirations) In addition to this, the sheets had streak of blood stains (like a bloody nose stains) the day we arrived and there was already trash on the kitchen garbage bag. Im pretty chill about these last two, things are missed, its ok. They offered to change the sheet

  Excellent central apartment with a sister one also available next door

  Liked: Great location in a pedestrian alley off one of the central streets near the cathedral. Plenty of nightlife, bars etc around including a nice pub at the far end of the alley. The first floor apartment (served by a lift) had a kitchen/diner and a sitting room up some slightly perilous steps (see pictures) though we had no problem with these. Everything was clean and recently refurb'ed and decorated in an attractive, simple style, but retaining some of its old character. Being 2 friends, we used the sofa bed in the sitting room. It was enormous and comfortable and the sitting room could be closed off with curtained bi-folds when you were asleep, and opened up again in the day. While comfy, the sofa bed did take 2 to close it again for day time. The very nice shower room was off the bedroom, but the WC was separate and off the front entrance lobby, with its own washbasin, so the set-up worked fine. A sort of built in headboard across the bedroom gave someone in the bed privacy from traffic to the bathroom but we did not take showers when the other one was in bed anyway. Gargantuan amounts of cupboard space! There was a washing machine which we did not use and plenty of heat and hot water. Kitchen was pretty well equipped: though some microwaveable cooking dishes would have helped. The courtyard provided secure covered bike parking. The owner was reachable by phone when needed. On the same floor there is a second apartment under the same management with (I recall) another double bedroom and bathroom. As these are the only 2 on that floor, a bigger group could take advantage of both as an (almost) combined set-up.

  Disliked: The front rooms looked on to the (narrow) alleyway and the back over an internal courtyard/atrium so it was not the brightest place, despite the lovely big windows on the dining area. Given that feature, the lighting was a bit dim and power points were not that plentiful, especially as we needed every lamp on.

  Superb! Comfortable! Lots of options in the area for dining & sightseeing!

  Liked: Everything!!!! Such a great location & very private! The apartment is so beautifully designed and intentional! Wonderful kitchen … dining area… living space is up a little stair … bed & bathroom are both serene! To top it off, the hosts are lovely as well!!!

  Disliked: We loved it all. Just one note… After dark, you will need a light on your phone to access the lock box entry code. This is not a problem at all, you’ll just need a bit of light. It’s all good!!!

  We had an excellent stay at Bluebird. Would stay again and recommend to others!

  Liked: Excellent location for exploring Antwerp. Apartment was very clean. We loved the modern decor. Very convenient to have a washer / dryer. Also very convenient that we could drop off the luggage early. Easy check-in.

  Disliked: The restaurant below and across the street was a bit noisy.
