Looks Great Online… Until You Actually Arrive

Disliked: I have never written a negative review, but this experience was far below expectations. When we arrived, the apartment was very dirty, with dust, stains and broken lighting and furniture. We immediately contacted the host, who promised a “deep clean” but after this so-called cleaning, nothing really improved. The place remained unpleasant and clearly not properly maintained. Several items were damaged or unusable and it was obvious that the property hasn’t been properly cared for in quite some time. Instead of taking responsibility and offering a proper solution, the proprietor only suggested a tiny refund that didn’t come close to compensating for the poor condition and stress caused. And after reading several reviews on Airbnb and other sites it's clear the proprietor has known about this for months now but not taken any action to improve the situation and keeps on letting out the property. We’ve stayed in many places booked through Booking.com and this was by far the worst. Do not be misled by the photos, they do not reflect the current state of the apartment. I strongly recommend choosing another accommodation until the owner seriously improves cleanliness and maintenance standards.

Very pleasant comfortable and conveniently located apartment

Liked: The apartment was spacious and comfortable and the host was very responsive and helpful. The location was very convenient for the historic centre and the docks and in a pleasant reisdential area.

Disliked: There are two bathrooms but only one toilet. There were only two of us so this was okay but it might be more difficult with a larger group.
