    Beautiful location, facilities okay

Liked: Beautiful cultural location, walking distance from the center (1.2km). Comfortable beds and a complimentary water and coffee. Room nicely renovated with an open concept bathroom. Breakfast buffet was good (tho when we arrived at opening time not all the food was actually ready yet). Parking on site was easy and tho pricey, it was cheaper than other options in the area. Would have been.

Disliked: (Rain)shower button in our room was broken, so we could only use the handheld. It was fixed during the ‘full day’ of our stay but due to timing returning late in the evening and leaving early in morning we were unable to use it. This made for a very uncomfortable shower using the handheld for which there was no holder. We were offered a cup of coffee as compensation whilst obviously already heading out the door. Response upon check-out when we mentioned it when asked how our stay was, was an uninterested ‘oh okay’. Would have at least expected them to offer to comp the one drink my husband had at the ‘honesty’ bar or something, when you provide a guest with a room with features that don’t work… I did not enjoy this ‘honesty bar’ concept either at a hotel in this price range I don’t want to have to grab my own drinks. The description of it being entirely self-service is unclear upon booking. However, I could probably have known if I had read full descriptions or other reviews. The ventilation in the shower was extremely dirty as well. Not the standard I expect for this price range.

Liked: Great location. Close to a wonderful residential area for lecturers. 10 minutes on foot to the city center. Excellent service, varied and delicious breakfasts. Quiet evenings in the hotel lounge.

Disliked: There is no towel warmer in the room. Therefore, if you want to be eco-friendly and not order daily cleaning, towels will be damp.
