Exceptional
Brilliant family stay in the Centre of Ypres
Liked: I brought my parents here to celebrate their 70th birthdays, and what an incredible choice it turned out to be. The property comfortably accommodated three generations of our family: my parents, my wife and I, and our two children (13 and 8). Finding somewhere that works so well for everyone is difficult, but this place absolutely delivered. The property itself is truly one of a kind. In fact, if I could pick it up, furnishings and all, and move it back to Liverpool, I would do it in a heartbeat. The ground floor kitchen and dining area is superb and became the social hub of our stay. The first-floor entertaining space, with its beautiful living room and additional dining area, is exceptional and perfect for relaxing together after a day exploring. One small suggestion would be an honesty bar in this area, which would make an already fantastic space even better. The accommodation is spread across the upper floors. The master bedroom on the second floor, complete with its stunning bath, feels luxurious, while the additional bedrooms above provide plenty of space and privacy for everyone. Location-wise, it's perfect. The Menin Gate is only a 10 to 15-minute walk away, making it easy to experience one of Ypres' most important landmarks. This was a special family occasion and the property exceeded expectations. Beautiful, spacious, unique and perfectly located. I would not hesitate to recommend it and would gladly stay again. The strongest 9/10. A memorable stay for a memorable family celebration.
Disliked: My mother woke up a little cold on first night but second night we seemed to get the heating on so all good.
Liked: Location great. Good sized accommodation. Lovely furnishings. A very nice house.
Disliked: The house was very tall with no lift and we only discovered this one week before we were due to be there. It was ok for a few days, but information should mention this before booking as it is not that suitable for people with limited mobility.
Liked: Great location. Had a couple of queries and they were answered within minutes.
Disliked: Nothing
Liked: Excellent location. Great place to stay. House is very well equipped.
Just perfectly comfortable!
Liked: Location, comfort, cleanliness, great smell! Also salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, all the small things you need even if for one meal. Welcome gift, nice sheets, towels. Everything was perfect!
Liked: The property was immaculate - I couldn't find fault with it. Very close to the station and less than 10 minutes to the centre of Ypres
Disliked: Nothing
