Beautiful accommodation in Ypres
Liked: Beautiful accommodation Well appointed Comfortable beds G Fl WC Loved the window shutters as great for sleep Fantastic location to explore Ypres Good communication by owners 3rd floor has en-suite All bedrooms have showers and sinks Free parking near house
Disliked: Fact you had to pay extra for towels and linen - only place I’ve ever had to do this. Felt cost was expensive too. Staircase handrail on 3rd floor loose and noted that this was outstanding since 2024. Dodgy if you have young children or are older and less mobile. Mentioned to owner.
Perfect
Liked: It was so clean, tidy, modern and very close to the Menin Gate Memorial. We were five minutes walk from the central square with some great value restaurants. The owners were so easy to deal with and made it so so easy.
Perfect for exploring Ieper and we would stay again, just not during the height of summer
Liked: The house was in the perfect location, 5-10 minute stroll from the house to the centre of Ieper. There was lots of space in the house, there was 3 of us and would easily be comfortable for 6. The downstairs area is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the area.
Disliked: We unfortunately arrived during a heat wave (27-31 degrees) and we struggled to get the bedrooms to cool so our sleep was disrupted.
