  Family vacation at the end of the 2026 season

  Liked: Family resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel pool was very decadent. The hotel is well-located for trips to nearby towns of interest, while also being situated a bit further away from the main hustle and bustle.

  Disliked: Everything is there but not quite. Everything could use a bit of modernization from playgrounds to furniture and equipment. But for that price we paid I think its fair.

  Perfect place, Perfect location, Perfect service

  Liked: This is our second visit there. Everything is just as wonderful as it was last year. It’s an amazing combination of different types of holiday activities all in one place. We stayed in the Apartments – these are small cottages (two rooms and a studio kitchen) situated in the shade of towering pine trees. On the same site, there’s a hotel with a restaurant and swimming pool, a massage parlour and a hairdresser’s. There’s a mini-market nearby. It’s very cosy. There are plenty of cottages, but it doesn’t feel overcrowded. The distance between the cottages is enough that you don’t feel the presence of neighbours. The grounds are very clean. Squirrels are constantly scampering amongst the trees. The children always found something to do. There are tennis courts, courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton and beach volleyball, as well as table tennis tables. Various sports equipment is available for hire: from bicycles to SUP boards. A small open-air gym. Hammocks strung between the trees. The beaches vary: from gently sloping pebble beaches to steep, rocky ones with ladders. There’s plenty of shade right on the beach and nearby. The sea is clean, but just this year after lunch huge brown jellyfish would wash ashore. A café serving delicious local and other dishes. Delicious ice cream.

  Disliked: Car park. The car park is quite large, but it features special tubular structures that provide shade. These structures create spaces for two cars each, but without proper monitoring of parking, the car park’s capacity is significantly reduced. Booking service. When I tried to book a cottage for the whole holiday period, I sent an email to the booking service. After providing all the details (number of days, number of people), I did not receive any reply (neither a negative nor a positive one).

  Comfortable beach holiday even on a very hot day but better value should be offered at these prices

  Liked: Our stay in the apt Gallijot Plava Laguna in August felt comfortable even on a very hot day because The tall pine trees provide shade. Compared to Porec itself, it felt a couple of degrees cooler. The beach was all around this little peninsula and my kids loved picking a different beach for a swim every time. The beach is clean and tidy. Several restaurants offer a variety of food although if you eat out every meal the cost quickly adds up. A couple of nights the evening entertainment included gymnastics style performances (almost cabaret!), which my teenagers loved. I also rented a bike locally at a reasonable price and cycled to Porec & back. The little market by the main entrance helps with basics, such as milk, eggs, bread, etc. it’s useful to have a kitchenette which had pots & a pan and even a small dishwasher.

  Disliked: We found it more expensive than a couple of years ago. Restaurants need to offer better value for families e.g. for lunch you can offer buffet style with choice of salads, wraps, sandwiches. For breakfasts you could offer a “baskets” to take to the apartments with pastries, yogurt, juice, etc. Also, For 4* it’s unusual not to have a gym with strong aircon and some equipment e.g. weights, a few machines, because during the midday heat that’s useful. Laundry is unreasonably expensive e.g. knickers are EUR 4.5 each to wash. However, after my complaint I was offered a partial refund. Why not provide a few laundry machines for families to use? You have the space for it. Overall, for these high & growing prices the management needs to offer better value for families with more options to do things ourselves and easily.

  A great place to stay, with amazing coastline (great for swimming)

  Liked: Amazing location, literally a few yards from the sea.

  Disliked: No table tennis, and tennis courts were expensive.

  Relaxing and enjoyable stay

  Liked: Perfect location with beautiful sea views. Quick and easy access to the Waterfront. Restaurant staff friendly and extremely helpful. Great food!
