Fabulous
Lovely people, breakfast, and room
Liked: From entering reception to leaving the following afternoon we were made to feel comfortable and welcome. This hotel is a gem.
Disliked: It far outshone our expectations
Liked: A great little boutique hotel..My secondvstay and I must retirn more often.
Easily the best and certainly the best value hotel in Pula centre
Liked: Building doesn't look much from the outside but inside it is very nice, spacious and airy. Breakfast was very good, front desk staff very helpful. Even though it has only 3 floors the hotel has a good modern lift. After 2 nights in a 3rd floor "standard room" with a roof window - which we liked - we upgraded to a 1st floor "superior room" only because in our top floor room the shower was over a bath, which I find very uncomfortable and awkward. However, altho the new room had a walk-in shower, that was the only difference and imo they are no better, and in our case a bit smaller, than the standard room.
Disliked: Not a problem for younger ppl, but the shower tray was very slippery with nothing to hold onto for safety as I have a balance problem. Shower floor rubber mats were not available so I had to put a towel down, which made it feel much safer. Restaurant was closed in evenings - mid October - but there are plenty others in the area, and all those we tried were excellent and very good value.
Liked: Very helpful staff, excellent location. Comfortable clean room and fantastic breakfast.
Liked: The hotel is in an excellent location, right next to the Arena and just a few minutes’ walk from the Old Town. There is a large parking lot directly in front of the hotel, with plenty of spaces, and parking is free on Sundays. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent, with a great variety of options to suit everyone’s taste. Highly recommended!
Superb location and very welcoming staff. Rooms spotlessly clean and reasonable value for money
Liked: Perfect location - near the bus stop (5min walk), next to the Arena, close to a great restaurant (Jupiter) and right by the Harbour. Couldn't be better for that aspect. Lovely soft pillows on the bed - a nice bathroom (with bath, in the room we were in). Staff extremely pleasant and clearly enjoyed being at the hotel and engaging with guests.
Disliked: The bed was a bit lumpy - although we slept well due to being very tired after travelling. Our room smelt upon arrival - and, although the staff did their best to resolve it, the toilet did become blocked which was a little unpleasant. I guess these old buildings struggle to cope with so many rooms & guests. Breakfast was nice - but I'd suggest losing all the (limp) lettuce garnishing and to freshen up the hot food being served. I appreciate the decor in the room (scratched design in the paint/plasterwork) is trying to reflect local surroundings (Arena, etc), but, for me, it just took the freshness away - and a new lick of paint would bring it back.
