  Well situated, comfortable modern chain hotel

  Liked: The hotel is very conveniently placed for those, like us, who arrive in Bordeaux by train, being only a couple of hundred metres from the main station. It's not right in the centre of town but a reasonable and pleasant walk or a short, cheap tram ride away. The facilities are what you'd expect from Novotel; nothing posh but very comfortable with all the facilities you need. Breakfast was good with lots of choice.

  Disliked: Nothing. It was exactly what we wanted.

  Great location

  Liked: The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very nice and very helpful. As for the breakfast, not so good! Not a fan of cold powdered scrambled eggs, if you are going to offer hot food then please make sure that it is hot or at least warm. The location of the hotel is great just outside you have the tram, if you are not able to walk far. If you are a walker then just a short walk away you have the night street markets with plenty of restaurants and bars. Great atmosphere.

  Great place for a 2 night stay

  Liked: Comfortable hotel with convenient underground car park. Lea on reception was very kind and helped us to retrieve a mislaid rucksack at Marche de Capucins. Convenient location to get a tram from outside the hotel. We had a room with a balcony - perfect in the warm weather.

  Disliked: Nothing really.

  Good value for money in Bordeaux

  Liked: A good hotel that is value for money. A little tricky to reach by car but once there all was very good. Large underground parking space. A 20 minute walk to the city centre. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was adequate. The staff were helpful and friendly. The city tram went by the hotel door but we decided to walk instead.

  Disliked: Driving through the narrow streets to get there at night was a little tricky but the hotel is very good.

  Nice to stay and discover Bordeaux

  Liked: Very friendly and helpful people at the reception after we had to evacuate the forest fires around Bordeaux and arrived late at night with two small children. Superb English breakfast.

  Disliked: Quite expensive for old rooms.
