  Liked: My husband and I stayed here for a hot air balloon flight in the area, and the location was very convenient for that. The hotel has a traditional atmosphere and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean, but quite small. There was no air conditioning, only a small portable fan, which wasn’t enough during the hot July nights. If we kept the window open, we could hear all the conversations from the restaurant below, which made it hard to rest. There is also no private parking, which was a bit inconvenient. Breakfast was pleasant, but the selection was limited and rather expensive for what was offered. Overall, it’s a simple and cozy place, suitable for a short stay if you’re in the region for activities like a balloon flight.

  We should have paid more and stayed elsewhere in the town

  Liked: Good location close to chateau

  Disliked: Room very hot. No bar. No restaurant. No breakfast. Quite scruffy. Luckily the hotel across the road provided an evening meal and breakfast.

  Extremely Disappointed

  Liked: The 1st thing we noticed was the thread bare furniture and carpets immediately upon entering the hotel. Our room was small, cramped and very hot as there is no AC. fortunately there was a window, but this opened upon the restaurant patio below). After a long bike trip(Loire a Velo), we were looking forward to a refreshing shower but the hardware hose of the shower was leaking, making it impossible to shower. We reported this problem to reception - no offer to repair it or move us & no apology for the inconvenience. Breakfast was very minimal continental breakfast. Bike storage, was outside in the yard and basically uncovered - this is the first time that we have encountered bike storage basically exposed to the elements & not totally secure at a location accredited under the “Accueil Velo” national accreditation scheme.
