  Great location and good breakfast, but unfortunately overshadowed by a misleading room description, poor housekeeping, u

  Liked: Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing. First of all, the room was nothing like what we had booked or what was advertised in the photos. It was incredibly small, cramped and awkwardly positioned in a corner, making it feel even more uncomfortable. Housekeeping was another major issue. We requested daily cleaning and fresh towels in the morning, but despite being out until 3–4 PM, we would return to find that nobody had entered the room. Our used towels were left on the floor all day, and we eventually had no choice but to reuse them. We also went two days without hand soap and shower gel because housekeeping never replenished them. The room was unbearably cold, and the thermostat was restricted, meaning we couldn’t adjust the temperature ourselves. The additional thermostat near the bathroom and the toilet ventilation system were not working at all. What disappointed us even more was the reception staff. Whenever we asked for information about public transport to nearby villages such as Ribeauvillé or Riquewihr, we were immediately told that there were no buses and that taking a taxi was our only option. This turned out to be completely incorrect. We eventually found the bus routes and departure points ourselves using ChatGPT. For a hotel in such a popular tourist destination, it is unacceptable that the reception staff cannot provide basic information about local transportation. Overall, the staff seemed poorly trained, unhelpful and uninterested in assisting guests. Very disappointing service, especially considering the expectations set by the hotel’s presentation and room descriptions

  Disliked: The location was very convenient, within walking distance of Colmar’s city centre, and the breakfast was good, with a nice selection of food. Unfortunately, these were the only positive aspects of our stay

  Amazing service oriented hotel staff

  Liked: The staff service was amazing. REMY at the night shift did an extraordinary effort to recuperate my purse that I left in an old town restaurant. He contacted the restaurant owner after hours and convinced him to brought up the purse to the hotel. I am very grateful for that exceptional service. Very good breakfast buffet in a nice area shared with the Novotel.

  Disliked: A longer that expected walk to the old town makes us a little bit nervous when returning back to the hotel late in the night.

  Great but not VFM

  Liked: Situated right in the heart of the city of Colmar, this accommodation offers a very quiet and exceptionally clean environment, complemented by a wide variety of breakfast options. Room was extra big and private underground parking is available on-site (with a very convenient way to access it directly from the reception area) for an additional daily fee of 20€, though it is quite expensive. Additionally, the check-out time of 11:00 is quite convenient, as is the breakfast schedule, which concludes at 10:00.

  Disliked: The only drawback is the absence of a refrigerator in the room. Considering the 180€ per night rate, the exclusion of this amenity feels quite overpriced.

  Liked: The hotel was perfectly located just minutes away from the old town and within walking distance from the train station. The staff were all super helpful and accommodating. The room was larger than expected and the breakfast had a nice selection and was a good way to start the day.

  Disliked: The bath towels were quite small and very thin so could possible do with an update!

  Nice hotel, would stay there again!

  Liked: Clean, good location, close to old town and bus stop (bus to train station), stored our bags for us after checkout until our train departed, great breakfast, comfortable, large bed, great shower, nice bar in lobby.

  Disliked: Room was on the small side, but workable.
