Long weekend in La Rochelle centre

Liked: The secure parking is excellent. But you must remember to turn right out of the car park when you leave! There is no restaurant as such but the breakfast was very good. The little bar serves good value and delicious champagne. The location is perfect for the old town and harbour. We had a small issue with our room and it was dealt with immediately.

Disliked: The hotel has no pool but there's no space for that as the only outside space is dedicated to the car parking which is arguably more important. I think they could consider putting a hot tub/jacuzzi on the outside terrace area. There was a large party of senior tourists staying and they were incredibly noisy at breakfast! Obviously not the hotel's fault and probably not helped by us having delicate heads!

Beautiful building, great location, friendly staff, would recommend

Liked: Location is brilliant, near to the beach and also near a lovely street with plenty of really good restaurants. The hotel building is lovely, rooms a good size, with high ceilings, staff very friendly.

Disliked: The bathroom set up was unusual in its layout, it was basically a ‘wet room’ and meant water from the shower spilled out on the floor towards the toilet.

  Amazing hotel near everything

Liked: It was absolutely perfect! We ended up staying another night as it was so comfortable. Rooms were very comfortable and they thought of everything. Bathrobes slippers fridge cold water.

Disliked: Having to leave. The car park under is very tight but the receptionist walked ahead and helped us.
