  It was good

  Liked: The staff was amazing. The lady at the desk i cant remember her name was so helpful. We accidentally booked the wrong dates and she fixed the problem for us so well. Thankyou to her massively.

  Liked: The receptionist was polite and kind and that's about it.

  Disliked: If you are considering this hotel for a stopover in Limoges, my honest advice is: keep driving. We arrived and were checked in immediately, which was probably the only positive part of our experience. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The area around the hotel felt extremely unsafe. There were a lot of drunk people and homeless people around, and we even saw broken glass right next to the hotel. The hotel itself did not feel secure either. The reception desk was frequently unattended, and people could simply walk into the building without anyone checking who they were. During the short time we were there, we saw several very questionable situations, including men entering the hotel with women who appeared to be involved in prostitution. Obviously, I cannot say exactly what was happening, but the overall atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable and certainly did not feel like a normal, safe hotel environment. The parking situation was also disappointing. The car park is not properly secured — there is simply a barrier at the entrance, so once you drive in, your car is essentially left in an open-access area. And then there was the room. It was far from clean or well maintained. There was a very strong smell of urine in the bathroom, and the bathroom ceiling had a significant amount of visible mould. The whole room and the hotel itself felt extremely tired and badly in need of renovation. The strangest part is that we didn’t even stay the night. We checked in, spent roughly an hour in the hotel, decided that we were simply not comfortable staying there, and left. We then drove another hour towards Paris and stayed at a B&B hotel instead, where the experience was completely different and much more pleasant. I genuinely regret choosing this hotel. If you are travelling to Spain or coming back from Spain and considering stopping in Limoges, I would personally recommend skipping the city altogether and driving a little further.

  First time at Ibis

  Liked: Hotel was easy to get to with good parking and the staff were excellent the breakfast was really nice

  Disliked: The room and facilities were dated and poorly decorated with badly fitted skirting boards no glass for a drink but a bottle to fill with water just felt that more effort could have been made
