  Overall, the hotel feels like it might have been a great place five years ago, but it has clearly not been maintained to

  Disliked: 1. No hand towels: There were no hand towels provided, so we had to use the same towels for both our hands and bodies. 2. Unstable shower temperature: The water temperature kept changing from cold to hot almost every minute, making it difficult to take a comfortable shower. 3. Mold in the shower: I noticed a significant amount of mold in the shower area, which was unpleasant and raised concerns about cleanliness. 4. Poor housekeeping: The housekeeping service was disappointing. It seemed that the staff only emptied the rubbish bins without properly cleaning or tidying the room. 5. Faulty hairdryer: The hairdryer button wasn’t working properly, so I had to put extra effort into keeping it pressed just to dry my hair.

  A frightening and disappointing stay

  Disliked: There was a constant high-pitched noise coming from an electrical outlet near the head of the bed. The noise was clearly audible when the room was quiet and made it very difficult for me to sleep. What made the situation particularly disturbing was that the noise came from an electrical outlet. I am not an electrician and had no way of knowing whether the noise was harmless or a sign of a potential electrical fault that could pose a fire risk. As a result, I felt worried and uneasy throughout the night and struggled to sleep, especially as we were travelling with our two young children. Even if the noise turned out to be completely harmless, the uncertainty was very unsettling. We reported the problem to reception immediately, but the hotel was fully booked and could neither resolve the issue nor offer us another room. We therefore had to spend the night in the room despite the noise and our concerns. After our stay, I contacted the hotel to discuss compensation. The hotel initially apologised and said the matter would be discussed with management. However, the hotel ultimately declined to offer any compensation. Considering the price we paid for a one-night stay, this was a very disappointing experience. I would have expected the hotel to take the issue more seriously, provide a solution where possible, and offer a more satisfactory resolution.

  Cozey with nice big beds, and short walk to the train lines

  Liked: Overall a great location with modern amenities and great staff. Nice large bed, which was one of the more comfortable ones we had one our trip. Location was one of the closer ones to the train lines, and very easy to find.

  Disliked: The room was tight. The large bed, although amazing, takes up a very large portion of the space so you will have to work around it a bit if you have a lot of luggage with you. The shower is a corner shower that is raised off the floor. This is not uncommon though, other places in Paris that we stayed at use this design, but it will give you trouble if you aren't used to it. I have some issues with my leg and found it a little scary stepping down out of the shower while soaking wet. I would recommend checking with staff before booking if you have any kind of accessibility issues with that kind of thing.

  Modern, clean and comfortable

  Liked: Easy access, reasonable location close to ph pic transport. Clean and modern room.

  Disliked: Shower wouldn’t stay on one temperature so it would go from cold to boiling hot, wouldn’t recommend leaving a child in there by themselves. Could have done with at least a fridge.
