  Liked: The location. Hands down one of the best locations for a hotel. Right in the middle of all the good fun at Le Marais.

  Disliked: I doubt it's smoke free as it suggests. The hotel reeked of cigarette smells all over the corridor. Either it's coming from the rooms, or from the guest waiting area, but it was not comfortable who's allergic to smoke like me. Do not suggest you are smoke free if you are not!!

  A Bespoke Escape in the Marais

  Liked: A Quintessential Marais experience while also accessible to the M1 metro line/Paris sites. Lively cafes, shops, a jazz club, self-help laundry and even a post office all within steps. Live like a Parisian in this quirky and bespoke setting.

  Disliked: I assume it's for security reasons, but access to the elevator on the arrival/departure floor requires assistance. The stairs are gorgeous but daunting for someone older with heavy luggage. Please note that reception is very accommodating once notified! Bring your own toiletries.

  The location was perfect for sightseeing. The room was good but the wi-fi was very flaky

  Liked: Room was fine. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

  Disliked: Shower screen was inadequate - the bathroom got quite wet when having a shower. There was also no extractor fan in the bathroom leading to a lot of steam.

  I’m a handicap person and had to to go stair to the first floor to get to the elevator. This is extremely inconvenient

  Liked: Location was excellent

  Disliked: The elevator doesn’t go to 0 floor. You have to leave your luggage, go upstairs to the first floor to ask to send elevator to 0 floor. The elevator itself too small. It can’t carry all your luggage and people at the same time.

  Disliked: The room was extremely small, noisy, and felt old and dated. I honestly nearly had a panic attack because of how cramped it felt. There were only two paper cups in the room. No mugs, no spoons, no kettle – basically none of the simple things you would normally expect. Coffee and tea were not refilled, and the bed sheets were not changed during our stay. In September, I paid nearly €800 for two nights, even though I am Genius Level 3 on Booking.com and therefore receive substantial discounts. For this price, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. Quite often there was nobody at reception. When I told the staff that the room was very noisy and asked whether it would be possible to change rooms, I was simply told to close the window – as if I would have been keeping it open in such a noisy room. We both left with a very bad feeling and the impression that we had seriously overspent for what we received. Just for context, I have been to Paris at least 10 times before, so my expectations are realistic and based on previous experience. Unfortunately, this stay was very poor value for money.
