  Disappointed as the location was great

  Liked: The location was fantastic

  Disliked: It was small (which is to be expected for Paris) but the bathroom was tiny. There was not a nice smell in the hotel and the room was dirty. My daughters didn’t feel comfortable at all and I ended up staying somewhere else instead, no refund was given. The photos make it far nicer than it is in reality.

  Liked: Location is convenient to central paris museums and sights

  Disliked: A standard double is a twn bed in an attick space with a sloped ceiling limiting the actual useful area of an already incredibly small room.

  Liked: The location of the property is wonderful, close to the main sightseeing spots, right in the city center.

  Disliked: The hotel has very steep, narrow staircases and heavy doors, and the reception staff were not particularly welcoming. Be prepared to carry your own luggage up the stairs, as no assistance is offered. The room has a TV, but it is practically unusable. No local TV channels are available, and to watch Netflix, you have to log in with your own personal account. Two small 330 ml bottles of water in the minibar cost €7. Considering that a night at this hotel costs over €300, I believe these basic amenities should be included in the price. Complimentary drinking water and a properly configured TV with Netflix and a few local channels would make the stay much more comfortable and the overall experience far more consistent with the price. Unfortunately, the service and amenities did not meet my expectations for a hotel in this price range.

  Great location and staff, noise issues were annoying, but overall pleased with stay

  Liked: Amazing location, close to everything - multiple metro stops (including direct to Orly airport), walking distance to major attractions (Louvre, Musee de'Orsay, Tuileries, etc.). Staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the few central Paris hotels that had 2 twin beds, rather than a queen/full, which was great for traveling with child. Room size was decent for Paris, bathroom was fine. Nothing fancy but feel like it was a good value compared to other places in the neighborhood.

  Disliked: Room was noisy, both from street noise and from internal noises like plumbing sounds in the hotel. The a/c made an awful drilling sound, even when turned off, which kept us up at night. It was eventually fixed, but we lost 2 nights of sleep. We couldn't get hot water one of our nights there (but other nights were fine).

  Overall, a good stay in a historic property with an excellent location and attentive staff. Just be prepared for a small

  Liked: We stayed here for 4 nights and had a good overall experience. The location is terrific, and the historic building itself is special. It was humbling to have the opportunity to stay in a building with so much history. We would especially like to recognize the front desk staff. They were attentive throughout the night, checking on everyone entering the premises, and were consistently friendly. Based on our experience, it seems the hotel has made noticeable improvements compared to some of the older reviews. The AC worked perfectly, and the housekeeping staff did a good job.

  Disliked: The room was extremely small, but given the location and the nature of Parisian hotels, we were willing to overlook that. One important consideration is the staircase. As other guests have mentioned, the stairs are quite steep and can be challenging, especially when carrying luggage.
