  Cheap, but you get what you pay for

  Liked: Located nice and close to Gare du Nord, which made transportation to/from the hotel easy. That's the end of the things I liked. See the other section for the most important info.

  Disliked: To get to Hotel Margot, you'll step over homeless people. The street noise comes into the room, even on the 5th floor: police sirens, garbage trucks, motorcycles. The room is tiny. You can barely move around the beds. The elevator is so small we could only fit 2 people with their roller board suitcases.

  Had a pleasant stay at hotel Margot and enjoyed quick access to the metro. But sleep was difficult with the street noise

  Liked: Location at gare du nord is very convenient

  Disliked: Rue la Fayette is a busy street and it is very noisy at night. It is hard to sleep at night with a window open. In the morning it gets especially loud because directly across the street there is a supermarket that gets restocked early, causing a lot of honking.
