  Looks nice, but with too many undesirable aspects in the room

  Liked: I booked this hotel because of price - I needed one night to attend a specific event, and hotel prices were sky high in Paris over my dates. This was the hotel closest to the venue that was reasonably priced. Location was good - close to Metro Line 1 and handy if you are a tourist for the Louvre etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I also note that I was able to check-in early (3hrs) as the room was ready, but they charged me €25 for this. Given they didn’t specially prepare the room for my early arrival, it’s a double edge sword.. it’s convenient but feels … not like hospitality.

  Disliked: Sadly, there’s a bit not to like that is not immediately apparent. The sound proofing was non-existent between rooms. When the couple next door came back at night, it was like they were in my room. The “bathroom” in the single room is actually all in one in the bedroom space. This was shown in the pictures (so not misrepresented) but in reality it meant a very small toilet cabinet and narrow shower, and humidity/damp in the room. Proof of this was I found a silverfish crawling on the carpet the next day (reported to Reception) but they had no idea what it was. I told them the room needed pest control. I was also bitten by something in the bed - not bedbugs I don’t think as it would have been worse but still a small cluster of bites on one leg that woke me up during the night. Very unpleasant and my experience didn’t align with the reviews I’d read.

  Lively little hotel

  Liked: The room is small, but there are more outlets than you find in bigger places. It is quite comfortable and the location is excellent. Breakfast is very good, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

  Disliked: There is no place to hang towels.

  Convenient price conscious place to stay while in Paris

  Liked: The great location, the friendly and courteous staff, the rapid response to a concern I had during my stay. My single room still had all I needed.

  Disliked: Breakfast can be crowded if the hotel is full, but it was ample enough, good quality and well-attended.

  Great location near Louvre

  Liked: A great location walking distance to Louvre and other places of interest. Quiet street but still near plenty of restaurants and shopping. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean and included free large bottle of water and coffee and tea packets. Free luggage storage was great for our final day in Paris. Nice looking breakfast buffet for additional fee, but did not use it. Old building so elevator was very small, so mostly used the winding steps to first floor (second floor to us Americans). Price was a little more than I usually want to pay, but for a great Paris location in July, it was not bad.

  First time to Paris!

  Liked: Great Location, friendly, helpful staff, well air conditioned room, clean, comfortable beds. Nice amenities. The ceiling was a little low on the upper bunk for my teenager.
