  Beware

  Liked: The location.

  Disliked: 1. Heavy construction noise and disruption. The host knew about heavy construction being done in the courtyard - which the apartment faces - yet only told us about it the day before we checked in, at a time where it was too late for us to make other arrangements. We questioned him about and he sent a video with light noise that seemed manageable. We only realized how truly deceptive his late admission was after we encountered the unbearable jackhammering and construction pounding noises (which we recorded). In addition, the host suggested that we organize daytime activities by leaving the apartment to avoid the disruption noise. This is a completely unreasonable expectation. We chose this central location for the very reason that we wanted to be able to easily return to the apartment during the day. The construction has been ongoing for a few months, adding to the deception of not disclosing this fact in the listing. 2. Key retrieval: It was a difficult scavenger hunt-like experience down the Metro corridors more than 250 meters away from the apartment. The host provided instructions that appeared simple on the surface but were anything but. We had to drag heavy luggage down the block, across traffic, in busy intersections and then up and down not one but TWO metro entrances - because we couldn't find the lock box in the first metro corridor (the closest one). It was infuriating, especially after exhausting travel.

  Liked: I really liked the apartment. Great location, a 5-minute walk from the metro. Beautiful interior with historical touches. The unit looks exactly like the photos. Comfortable bed! I recommend it!

  Liked: Excellent location

  Disliked: There was some construction happening in the courtyard of the building, but the host had been upfront about that—and it was nothing to do with him—and offered some free drinks and food for the inconvenience. It was a much-appreciated gesture.

  Wonderful place

  Liked: Wonderful stay in Paris We had a really lovely stay in Paris. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and in a great location, which made it very easy for us to explore the city and visit all the main attractions. The place was exactly what we needed for our trip, and we felt comfortable and welcome throughout our stay. Everything was as described, and the experience was very pleasant from beginning to end. We would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Paris and would happily stay here again. Thank you for making our trip even more enjoyable! ❤️🇫🇷
