  Exceptionally friendly staff, adequate facilities

  Liked: We stayed here primarily as it was on the Disney shuttle pickup line and would minimize transfer time. That worked, and the hotel's location is otherwise really easy to get to the metro or Gare Montparnasse from. Simple food options nearby as well. Hotel was very clean, and staff were helpful and thoughtful.

  Disliked: Because of it's large size it's a hub for Viking Cruises and airline staff. Pros and cons there definitely made it feel more like an American hotel than a French experience. Staff solved issues well but there were just consistent mechanical or facilities issues throughout: towel bar fell off when we walked by it first day, first night the room was roasting and AC didn't work, elevators wouldn't recognize cards repeatedly....there was always someone to quickly repair each tiny issue but clearly needs an overhaul as these point to systemic aging.

  Decent but disappointing treatment by person answering the phone re our request for a coffee machine

  Liked: Didn't partake

  Disliked: No coffee machine in our $485/night room and told we didn't qualify for one. We had apparently had a higher level room the week before and got a machine. We had to leave 4 AM due to the protests so it would be nice to have coffee first.

  Liked: Great location, it was relatively easy to get to all the major attractions via public transport or cycling. The hotel facilities are also excellent.

  Disliked: The rooms are quite small. Even though we got a 4 person room, there wasn't much space for our luggage.
