Nice place, have stayed there before, our only prob is the bath

Liked: When you get older it is impossible to get in the bath, so a plain / normal shower would be welcomed.

  Disliked: Sorry see line above

Location was great, service was good, breakfast extensive and excellent. Felt at home, for one night

Liked: The room was clean, the bed most comfortable, all amenities were there, TV worked fine. I was amused by the massive rafter in the ceiling - I was directly under the roof, with dormer windows looking down on the plaza and fountain below.

Disliked: The room, while being perfectly clean, stank of some very strong cleanser, something that made me open the windows for 2 hours after my arrival. Only upon leaving did I hear that a smoker had been in the room before me and they had tried to get the smell out with strong perfumed cleansers. My mistake for not saying something sooner - perhaps I would have been offered another room.

Poor, I wouldn't book again until deep cleaned and decorated

Liked: Great location in centre of Pau. Staff helpful in arranging transfer from airport. Lovely, but dated, Art Deco furniture in room

Disliked: The rooms very very tired. It doesn't seem like the hotel has been decorated for 50 years, many stains on sofa in room. No mattress protector or underblanket on bed. Drains smell in communal areas. Heating didn't work in room.
