  Fantastic host who was so welcoming and knowledgeable

  Liked: Fantastic location within easy cycling distance to Saumur centre, chateau and wine caves. The house is in secure grounds with a lovely pool.

  Disliked: Remember insect repellent around the pool to prevent bites.

  Would not return!

  Liked: It was different!

  Disliked: It was in need of work, the property needed some love and care. - we were charged to use the swimming pool without being informed of this either via Booking.com or the hotel. - the breakfast as cheap and very basic, bad coffee, warm milk, tinned fruit. - we felt watched by the owner, and there were lots of rules which felt unnecessary. (Certain swimming wear only, no shoes, no food in the room, leaving the keys if leaving the hotel (leaving them where anyone could access them). - hotel did not take card payments (cash only) and when we paid with cash where unable to provide change! - Booking.com payment stated taxes were included in the price, however we were charged taxes onsite when we were charged for the use of the swimming pool. - Owner made us feel bad for only having limited French language.

  Good convenient stay in Saumur

  Liked: The building was really interesting. The facilities provided met our needs. Good storage for our bikes. We could swim in the pool we wanted.

  Don’t stay here. It’s tired and difficult to communicate with owner

  Liked: Nothing, we were unable to stay as owner did not arrive to let us in.

  Disliked: No opportunity to like or dislike the property as owner did not appear to welcome us when we arrived. Unable to contact her by phone She claims to have tried to contact me but had no phone calls until Booking.com contacted her she phoned about 11/2hrs later by which time we checked into another hotel. Altogether very disappointing and stressful to say the least. The place looked tired and invested for from the outside

  Excellent stay, Patricia looked after as really well. The room was comfotable and so was the bed. We had lovely views, l

  Liked: The property was exactly what we were looking for. A period house with charm and a decent pool in a nice setting. Breakfast was properly French and Patricia, the host, was attentive and friendly.

Please note that the swimming pool is not supervised and that it opens from 10:30 to 12:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00.

The swimming pool is open from June to September.

Men must wear swim briefs at the pool, swim shorts are not allowed.
