Good
OK but don’t bother with breakfast
Liked: It is certainly ok but pricey for what it is. It’s clean and in a reasonable location. Staff are friendly.
Disliked: Breakfast room is depressing and the coffee is ersatz-tasting stuff from a thermos flask. Nearby is the Bäckerei Wolf, we should have had breakfast there instead.
Lovely family run hotel
Liked: Great location. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely room with spacious bathroom. Very quiet. Very clean.
awesome, perfect
Liked: everything was beyond expectations - the breakfast, room and bathroom size (high ceiling!), hotel placement, staff friendliness (allowed to keep our luggage till 5pm), no noise at all
Disliked: nothing comes to mind
Excellent hotel close to the centre of Ausburg
Liked: Despite being very close to the centre it was quiet. Comfortable room and good breakfast.
Disliked: You need to book parking in advance. But as I was on a motorbike easily found a place to park. Might be more challenging in a car.
A kettle would be nice
Liked: Setting at the far north of the old city meant a 15 minute walk to the Rathaus and main sites but suited me. Plenty of history to explore (reformation history at St Anna, Fuggerai, etc Quiet street. Good breakfast for €9. Pleasant staff.
Disliked: Room on the smaller side of large. One well-upholstered upright chair and a desk so narrow it would better be termed a shelf. Unlined bedroom curtains and glass door to shower/toilet meant no effective blackout, so bring a mask if you don't want to wake with the light. There's a line somewhere across central Germany below which not having a kettle in a room is deemed acceptable. Unfortunately, it seems that Augsburg is south of that line. What do they not understand about the English on holiday?
Liked: Great location, helpful staff and clean rooms. Good value for money.
Disliked: Could have been a bit more choice of breakfast items.
