Fabulous
Spacious but dark and damp
Liked: There are three properties and the reviews on booking.com are mixed together and hence mixed. We stayed in Freiwohnung 2 the 1 bed at ground level. It was spacious and our child was able to stay on a camp bed in the living area. The kitchen had all we needed and it was a short walk to train station and town. The garden is pretty but because the road is so close it was noisy and not very relaxing.
Disliked: The apartment was very damp and humid and spelled strongly of mildew. It was very dark. It was also loud because it is right next to a busy road. The bed is literally situated next to the cars. It is on a hill, sunken, below ground level and so your head when you sleep is less than half a metre away from the road. It was stuffy and humid even in cool weather but we couldn’t sleep with the window open because of the noice. Due to the damp and dark we ended up to spending much time in the apartment, it was too unpleasant. It is relatively inexpensive so a fair price I guess but personally I wish we had paid more for somewhere nicer. The large multi bedroom apartment above is probably nice but I couldn’t recommend the 1 bed at ground level next to the road. Photo included so you can see where bed is in relation to road. There are lots of gorgeous villages near Berchtesgaden and a great bus service. If coming again I would look there. The tourist tax was not included.

This property and the host were wonderful in great location with gorgeous views!
Liked: The location of this property is excellent! There is parking available onsite, or behind in a parking lot (either one) and the host couple of the property were fantastic and friendly! We had 5 adults, so the size and amenities were perfect! We came in winter so the weather wasn't cooperating to sit outside - but I imagine other seasons make this property even better with the outside sitting areas and gorgeous views. We definitely loved the fireplace though! We will definitely be back and hope this property is available when we return!
Disliked: Nothing that we didn't like. Just a caution though, one bedroom is colder than the rest, but it wasn't a problem. I do wish there was a clothes washer/dryer available, but we just went downtown to the laundry mat there to do laundry.
