Liked: Great apartment in a picturesque spot. All you need for a stay in Berchtesgaden. Shared pool is great extra for kids.
Liked: The balcony was a nice touch
Disliked: Only 2 beds, not 3, the photos really exaggerated the place. It is small. We were not pre warned about the steep hill you need to walk up from the car park. This was very difficult for one of our party.

Liked: The accommodation is located in a walkable distance to the main train station, bus stop, shop and has a stunning view. The kitchen is well equipped, we also enjoyed armchairs with the legs rest stools - perfect after the long walk. Check-in and check-out is done by leaving the key in a locker in the post box, so that we didn't have to meet the host at all. The swimming pool downstairs is a nice bonus, perfect to cool down after the sunny day, it's quite deep at all length, but has a shallow separated area, so that kids could have fun there as well without constant supervision.
Disliked: Last time I needed to drug my own towels with me was in a summer camp in childhood and here we are again. I don't know what this policy is driven by, it haven't even occurred to me to check if the facilities include towels before booking, only later I got a message that I need to bring my own, or all of a sudden make my stay €35 more expensive, if I want towels and toiletries provided. The property somehow isn't fully integrated with booking, I was receiving messages from the host in the app, but when I was sending a response, it was showing me an automated reply, that they can't guarantee the message will be delivered to the host, and they recommend contacting him by phone, which is not ideal when we're from different countries. The payment was a bank transfer, which is an extra hussle, and there wasn't an event created in the calendar by booking. We had an apartment #43. In the property description it's stated that it's kids friendly, but I wouldn't say so. First - check-in 16-18 (yes, strict 2 hours window, when the key is in the locker) and the checkout by 9 a.m.! I had a couple of stays with early checkout at 10 a.m., but 9 a.m. it's too much, as to me. It was very hard to pack two kids and get rolling so early. Also, the parking lot is situated ~100m downhill from the building, and there's a lift, but firstly it's tiny, and second to get to it you need to pass 2 flights of stairs, so forget about bringing the stroller up with you! We ended up leaving the stroller in the car and dragging the baby uphill and then upstairs in hands. It's also loft, so unless you're in a perfect physical condition, I wouldn't recommend bringing a kid under 1 y o. with you, the stairs are hard to navigate with sleeping child in your arms. The host didn't leave any WiFi instructions and we didn't find any network to connect, so assumed there was none.
Fine if you have a car and don't care about wifi or central location or a view
Liked: A comfortable clean apartment for three people with two bedrooms. Pots and pans more than adequate, but no oven, only a countertop toaster oven. Edeka grocery market was a five minute walk away.
Disliked: No wifi! The cell service was also terrible. Basically you cannot go online during your stay. The owner did not respond to my requests for wifi. This was a serious disadvantage for which I was not prepared. No view, which I had expected from the description No bath towels provided, but the owner did kindly bring some after a few hours when asked. No kitchen towels for clean up. No coffee or tea. None of this was promised, to be fair, but since we were travelling from abroad by public transport, we did not have anything we needed. This is a bare-bones vacation apartment for people who are coming with a car and can bring all their extras, including paper towels ands toilet paper for any stay longer than one night. Location was up above the main road out of town, not central to Berchtesgaden. The charming part of town was a 35-minute walk along a busy highway.
