  Beautiful Bergwald

  Liked: Great location, Anton was very helpful and friendly giving great tips on where to go. We foundthis useful.

  Disliked: Being very picky the oversized soft pillows lacked neck support.

  Great location & great host

  Liked: The location and view from the balcony of the room were fantastic. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet and there’s good bus connections to Berchtesgaden/Königssee and Salzburg (buses every 30-60 minutes). There is also a “WatzMobil” stop very close to the guest house, which is a local on-demand taxi service that is part of the public transport offering, which was very helpful since we did not travel by car. The room itself was nice and was cleaned daily. Breakfast was continental, with various types of bread, ham, cheese and cereal on offer, as well as yoghurt/fruits, juice and coffee. The host, Anton, is very friendly & approachable and gave us tips and guidance about the area and hikes.

  Liked: Our stay was an excellent one. Our room had a lovely view of the valley. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and big with a nice high pressure shower, and a heated towel rack

  Disliked: Check-in was easy. Breakfast was good. The building is situated on a hillside among other houses and the road to get to it is tiny.
