  Liked: It’s a fantastic location where you can start hiking right from the doorstep. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the staff are always willing to help.

  Disliked: Let’s leave that as a little surprise for the next guests:)

  Liked: Beautiful setting, lovely food and great staff. Room was sizeable, with a great balcony, and really well located.

  Disliked: It was a shame the restaurant was only open one of the three days we were there, for sure had to plan shrad. But didn't impact our stay and we'd definitely return if in the area again.

  Beautiful place up in the mountains, the view is amazing

  Liked: Family of five generations running the place, that’s amazing. Everything clean, very good food and really nice staff.

  I am looking forward to my next visit to this hotel and Berchtesgaden

  Liked: I absolutely love the staff. They were so amazingly friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily, once before I even finished breakfast. It is located a reasonable hike to Berchtesgaden, but there is also a bus service as long as you don’t need to return later than late afternoon on the weekend. I can fully recommend this hotel for its services, location, staff, and price.

  Fantastic value for money stay, in a exceptionally good hotel well worth a stay

  Liked: Fantastic little hotel. Staff were great, food excellent and the room wonderful. Balcony view over the mountains. Comfy bed in a room with lots of space.

  Disliked: Only problem was not hotel related. Unfortunately Maria Gern is a little of the beaten track. You need your own transport. Local bus only runs once per hour and ends at 1800.
