  Good for a one-night stay, but don’t expect a well-renovated historic house. It’s a bit of a jumble

  Liked: The room was quite spacious, and the location is right in the historic centre. Although there is no staffed reception, I was able to reach the owner fairly quickly, and he efficiently helped me solve a problem I had because I don’t have a smartphone.

  Disliked: Most of all, the information on Booking.com and the hotel’s website didn’t clearly mention that there is no staffed reception (check-in works with key boxes), or that you need a smartphone to connect to the Wi-Fi (via a QR code). There was also no information for cyclists, and there turned out to be no place to store your bike.There was also no information for cyclists, and there turned out to be no place to store your bike. Other negatives: the sheets were old and covered in bobbles, and I found a thick hair (from another guest? from the staff?) on them. With two blankets the temperature was okay, but the old house is poorly insulated and doesn’t seem to have central heating, so it must be very cold in winter and very hot in summer.

  Only spent 1 and 1/2 days; could have enjoyed another day; the Romanitka and city were appealing

  Liked: Room was spacious and was only missing a microwave for a convenient prep for a stay in room meal. Location was quite good in reference to city center.

  Disliked: Parking could be a problem, depending upon tourist/visitor numbers.

  Comfortable and great location

  Liked: Location was perfect. Not too far from the center, but not so close that you'd hear much noise. I love old architecture and was not disappointed with this building.

  Disliked: The shower being in the middle of the room but not having any lights close enough to be able to see much when showering wasn't great. Also would have liked some cleaning supplies so I could wash my dishes.
