  Terrible

Disliked: Bed sheets were dirty and had hair from previous guests still on them.. there was also rubbish in the bathroom that was clearly not ours. The complimentary toiletries had already been opened by previous guests., yet they were simply left there for us. Blood stains on walls. It honestly felt like someone had checked in before us and then left, and the property never cleaned the room aftrwards. The entire property seemed completely abandoned and neglected. We were travelling and this was the only accommodation available in Cochem that night. What a nightmare! I could not even put my face on those filthy pillows, so I had to wrap them in a piece of clothing just to be able to sleep. Stay away!

Having stayed at other hotels in the city center, the Hendriks Pension provides a much quieter local

Liked: The location near the top of the city is outstanding - quite yet an easy walk to Cochem center. I especially enjoyed time on the terrace chatting with other guests.

Disliked: The weather was quite warm on the day I was there. A small fan to circulate air would have been good.

nice basic room, for an excellent price quality

Liked: I wanted a cheap, basic room, and that expectation was fulfilled. Breakfast was included, which was appreciated. The room and towels were spotless clean. Most attractions are at walking distance. The room was not too hot, despite a heatwave going on, and you can close the shutters, so that it remains nice and cosy.

Disliked: I knew from other reviews that the place can be a bit noisy, which I can confirm (bring ear plugs). When I arrived, there was no sign for a reception, and nobody was around. The door for a single room was open, so instead of bothering to call or looking for a reception, I just took the room, and showered. I small sign with " the reception is upstairs", or " will be back shortly" or "call xxxxxx" could have helped.

A perfect, tranquil stay in a lovely German town

Liked: Perfect location - quiet and only 3 minutes walk to the centre. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Very friendly, warm & welcoming staff.

Disliked: No air con or fan (it was unseasonably hot for May).
