  A mixed bag

Liked: the hotel is in a perfect location, very clean, and features very nice bathrooms.

Disliked: The breakfast experience was really poor and so was the breakfast selection. When we arrived as a party of 2 adults and 1 child, we were told to "sit anywhere," but there were no tables available for 3 or 4 people. We had to move chairs and cutlery ourselves. The coffee was horrible, and to make matters worse, there were no cups left at all. We had to ask staff and wait 10 minutes for them to be replenished. Staff did not collect used plates at all; guests were left clearing plates themselves onto empty tables. Another issue,we were told that breakfast for a 13-year-old would be discounted, but at checkout, we were charged the full adult price. I would definitely advise to get breakfast somewhere else

Perfect location and a wonderful historic hotel with real attention to detail!

Liked: Perfect location and a wonderful historic hotel with real attention to detail, both in the rooms and in the public areas. The building has character, and you can tell it is looked after with care. What also stood out: when I raised a few points after my stay, the management got in touch personally and took the feedback seriously. That kind of attention is rare these days and says a lot about how the hotel is run. I come to Dresden on business and will certainly be back. Absolutely worth a stay.
