  A welcoming place. Clean, friendly setting and budget friendly

  Liked: Fabulous Location and budget friendly. Safe for solo travelers, the ultimate compliment is the front desk crew are rockstars.

  Disliked: It’s filled with middle school and high school students (camps and day trips) so it’s more like a camp setting, compared to other hostels in Germany.

  Liked: It's a very nice property, have to walk a bit from nearest station but it's located right in front of river where we can sit outside and spend time. It's very well maintained and has good healthy breakfast. Staff is also very friendly and work hard to maintain this place, was pleasantly surprised by my stay here.

  Disliked: Two nights in this hotel near with the Mainz as a view. Close walking to main attractions and very good breakfast with lots of options.

  Liked: I liked the location, the sense of security, and the professionalism of the staff. The room temperature was also comfortable.

  Disliked: However, I was disappointed that basic amenities such as towels, shampoo, and other essentials were not provided for guests.

Good to know

Guests must be a member of the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF) or Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk. A valid youth hostel membership card is required to stay at the property, which can also still be purchased on arrival. For guests residing abroad it costs EUR 3.50 per night, German tourists will be charged between EUR 7 - 27.50.

These charges are not included in the room rate.

Guests planning to arrive after 18:00 should contact the hotel in advance. Contact details can be found on the booking confirmation. There is no access to the hostel between 02:00 and 06:00 as it is closed.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
