  A spacious and beautiful apartment made even more memorable by exceptionally warm and welcoming hosts

  Liked: The apartment is very spacious, with generously sized rooms. We especially loved the large balcony off the living room, the second balcony from the master bedroom, and the separate office. The views are beautiful from every side. Even on warm days, simply opening the windows allows a lovely breeze to flow through the apartment. The hosts gave us a very warm welcome, helped us with our luggage, and explained everything we needed to know about the surrounding area. What we appreciated most was how genuinely friendly and sociable they were. They clearly enjoy welcoming their guests and taking the time to chat, both when we arrived and when we left.

  Disliked: Our only regret was that we didn’t have more time to sit with our hosts and enjoy a longer conversation with them. They were such warm, kind and delightful people to spend time with.

  Liked: We have just returned from a few days at this accommodation with our family, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel incredibly welcome. Their kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care truly made a difference. They were always available if we needed anything, yet fully respectful of our privacy — the perfect balance. The property itself was spotless and felt completely brand new. Everything was in perfect condition, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and every detail showed how much effort the owners put into making guests feel at home. The location is simply wonderful — peaceful, scenic, and ideal for relaxing as a family. The surrounding area is beautiful, with lovely views and plenty of space to unwind. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy quality time together.   Hoping to stay here again

  Liked: This is a superb property, in a superb location, with superb hosts. Although it is only a short walk, we were met at the station and driven to the apartment. It is on the third floor of a beautifully maintained 100+ year old chalet, with the lower floors occupied by the host family. It is a few steps from the main street of Garmisch where the Tourist Office, supermarkets, restaurants and shops are located. Not having a car, we really appreciated the Guest Card which gave us free access to local and regional buses for travel to many tourist sites. As a 3 generation family of 6 our living needs were generously met in this spacious accommodation - 2 bedrooms, 2 living rooms (each with a sofa bed), a bathroom (with toilet and washing machine), an additional toilet, and plenty of towels and toilet paper. The fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cooking utensils, and many essentials for preparing our own meals was really appreciated. Besides the practicalities, the decor is just beautiful, as are the mountain views from the 2 balconies. It was a real pleasure to stay at Bunter Hirsch Ferienwohnung.
