  Basic hotel and don’t expect any service from the reception

  Liked: About 10 mins walk from Nuremberg Train Station and 15 mins walk to old town.

  Disliked: Don’t expect any service from the staff who were generally grumpy, unfriendly and unhelpful. Have to pay for luggage storage with self-help luggage locker which staff even unsure how to operate them and simply brushed us off by saying it was a new implementation, so we just tried to figure out ourselves. Lockers are situated next to reception. The receptionist was not available that we had to look for him high and low even though the staff was supposed to be on duty when we arrived around 11am. Toilet at the lobby was locked and we had to asked receptionist to unlock for us who was curt in his reply by saying, “What’s wrong?!” If the staff were so unwilling to help, might as well make it a complete automation with self-check-in service throughout.

  Glorious, historical, and beautiful yet still comfortable and warm

  Liked: This is without a doubt one of the just beautiful properties in the world in one of the most gorgeous cities I've ever seen, and I've been to 60+ countries. The property was built in the 12th century, served as a tax collectors office and residence, survived several empires and the plague, and is staffed by lovely, warm people. It's worth whatever you pay for it to be honest. Top notch. I will be back.

  Super location, wonderful facility

  Liked: Absolutely great location and facilities.

  Disliked: For older folks, like us, traversing stairs with luggage can be a challenge.

  Liked: The access to the station was great. It was also a short walk to the Altstadt. The room was clean and comfortable and the air conditioning was welcome!

  Disliked: The pillows were very flat. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The "Lock and Leave" lockers proved to be a nightmare: I would recommend getting rid of them and instead have lockers with keys.
