  Liked: Awesome to stay in a former castle, staff was helpful, breakfast was excellent

  Disliked: Not nearly enough electrical outlets in rooms, no privacy getting in and out of shower in shared room, lack of places to hang towels, etc., rooms get super hot in summer (could use a fan)

  Fun, Convenient, and Great Breakfast

  Liked: Very close walk to the castle and Albrecht Duerer house. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Great view of the city from the room window. And fun to think we were sleeping in the castle stables!

  Disliked: The shower setup was awkward. The shower door opened up into the rest of the room, and dry clothes and towel could not be kept dry inside the shower.

Good to know

International guests without membership pay a surcharge of EUR 3.50 per night. German residents aged 26 or younger must become a member of the German Youth Hostel Association for EUR 7 per year, older guests and families pay EUR 27.50 per year.

Towels and bed linen are provided free of charge.

Please also note that extra beds must be approved by the property in advance.
