Exceptional
Liked: This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at! Everything was absolutely perfect — the cleanliness, the reception, the restaurant, the atmosphere, the style, and the beautiful interior design. Every single detail was exceptional. The entire hotel is stunning, elegant, and welcoming. Everything exceeded my expectations. I honestly cannot find a single thing to complain about. Everything, absolutely everything, was outstanding! A truly unforgettable experience. 10/10 — Highly recommended!
Liked: Hotel Karl August has a lovely warm interior in communal spaces. Rooms are neat and tidy and clean. The hotel is located right in the old city. I loved my stay and have returned more than once.
Comfortable base for exploring Nuremberg
Liked: Excellent location. Easy access on foot to the old town centre. Quiet. We had a superior twin room which was large. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom (and separate WC) was good with an excellent shower. Ample storage space. Kettle provided. We used the Pic-nique cafe for breakfast which was very pleasant.
Disliked: Given the price and size of room there really should have been a comfortable armchair or sofa. The wooden chairs provided reminded us of school! A nuisance that the only plugs for plugging in the kettle was low down on the floor next to the beds. Some may like the concrete walls and ceiling more than we did.
