  The pearl of Regensburg – small but mighty

  Liked: 10/10. From start to finish, our experience at this apartment was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled on a Danube (Donau) River island and only steps from the "Altstadt", the location is perfect — a tranquil oasis with the heart of Regensburg just a short walk away Every detail of the apartment was impeccably curated. It was immaculately clean, and perfectly equipped — from kitchen to bedding — truly making us feel at home. Furniture, art and decoration were impressive. And private parking was the cherry on top, especially so close to the Old Town. Communication with the host was outstanding — prompt, warm, and helpful, setting a new standard for what great hospitality feels like. Honestly, it was truly one of the best we’ve ever experienced. We haven't used the electric bikes (lack of time) that can be rented with the apartment for a super friendly rate, but I know the brand and I can tell other travelers: These bikes are 'state of the art' and will lift your city-stay to the best possible level if you find the time to use them. To future travelers: this apartment is a rare find—serene yet central, fully appointed, and hosted with genuine care. If it’s available next time we’re in Regensburg, we’ll book it without hesitation (if ever again available for my after this hymn 😉).

  Disliked: This is no complaint, only fact to know: The apartment is in the 3rd floor with a couple of stairs to climb into apartment-heaven. And there are sloping ceilings under the roof, but that's easy to see in the pictures... no hidden secret.

  Liked: Location is OK

  Disliked: What is a bit tricky is the lightning system when moving in the apartment. It would be much nicer if the lights at the entrance and in the hall way would be triggered by movement detectors. Since the apartment is right under the roof, moving around without banging your head on some wooden beam can be tricky.

  Liked: If you'd like some peace and solitude away from the crowds and the hubbub then you've got yourself a deal here. And you're practically on the Danube River! Anselm played a terrific host! Was there to welcome me. Took me through the ritual of the apartment and even had recommendations for restaurants.. sightseeing.. and was more than helpful in arranging a taxi. He's easily accessible on the phone to help out with any queries. Gem of a lad!

  Disliked: The weather, sadly, played truant!

  Liked: Location easy walk into Altstadt and Dom. Very quiet adjoining walkways and parkland. Bed was very comfortable.

  Disliked: No television. The slant ceiling was quite awkward in the bathroom and I am not particularly tall. would be even more challenging for a taller person. Perhaps with a mirror on a wall with no slanted roof would make things easier.
