Very good
Totally meet our expectations for a quant German town
Liked: We loved the quant room and great location. It was like story book Germany. Basic room with all we needed.
Disliked: We never saw another person, the whole time we stayed. It was a holiday weekend for Germany, so that might be why. If you can’t go up stairs this place is not for you.
To be in this town and in this hotel that go way back in history is quite an experience!
Liked: It was amazing to be in a hotel that was built 500 years ago! It was great! The bathroom has been updated and was very comfortable. It is within the walls of Rothenburg so the location is excellent. The food was excellent, and the staff was delightful and very helpful.
Disliked: The key to the room was a little tricky to work. There isn't an elevator so carrying luggage was a little challenging but expected in this ancient hotel. It was well worth it!
Nice time in Rothenburg
Liked: Check-in was smooth, just make sure you have your reservation number handy, because you’ll need it for the automatic key dispenser. Breakfast was very good, but it’s at a different hotel, about a 5 minute walk away. The hotel and room were very clean and well kept, and the location is excellent, maybe 10 minutes from the Marktplatz.
Disliked: Two flights of steep, small stairs were a challenge navigating with luggage.
Liked: The room was very comfortable and close to the Markplatz and all the wonderful areas to see in town.
Disliked: Self registration was a little confusing and this was partly my fault - I had somehow deleted my email with the confirmation information,b ut did finally find a paper copy. It was late at night and raining, so a bit confusing.
Exceeded our expectations!
Liked: I can’t speak highly enough of this place! Its central location and authentic charm made for a perfect stay.
Disliked: Nothing
Highly recommend!!
Liked: We loved this hotel. It was conveniently located within the city walls. Breakfast was lovely and Mike was delightful. He was very helpful when we had some travel issues.
