Good port of call to visit Schwerin's historic Schloss

Liked: The hotel is well positioned for visits to the Schloss and the Stadt Museum. The staff were very helpful and a generous breakfast is provided at a price. It has an off street car park and a lift.

Disliked: Although well positioned for the Schloss, the rest of the old town is rather further away at 1km or more. Our room was nice enough, but lacked any amenities like coffee making and it was not made up during our stay. Street fronting rooms are to be avoided: the trams outside run all night and on warm nights with open windows...... Car parking is expensive

Room was overpriced considering you looked directly into a wall, no sky

Liked: Reasonable and convenient parking. Friendly receptionist.

Disliked: Somewhat unfriendly breakfast host who shut down breakfast service early on first day. Some cheap breakfast items like canned cocktail fruit, Prepackaged jam and jelly packages.. Scrambled eggs ran out 1/2 hour before closing and were never replenished.

Liked: The location is amazing: close to the main station, a bus/traim stop, to the city centre and the castle. A peaceful location, super friendly staff and good breakfast. Elevator. We could leave our luggage after checking out

Disliked: Despite the windows were closed I could hear some loud doves early in the morning. After the birds calmed down trems started circulating, they were not super loud, but due to sensitive sleep I couldn't rest. No air-conditioning
