  Very thoughtfully and lovingly curated guest house

  Liked: I loved meeting the owner and his wife, and appreciated their hospitality. I noticed their attention to details, with tourist information, local recommendations and a lovely terrace for the guests to share, the mini bar and the wine glasses. I even noticed how pleasant the sheets and the room smelled. I loved the classical music playing in the reception area. I appreciated the ear plugs, although I didn't have to use them. The building was quiet, even with the train passing by right outside the window. And very convenient location, across from the Hauptbahnhof. It was a lovely experience.

  Disliked: My ONLY complaint was that there was no one present to let me in when I arrived. The doorbell was broken and had a phone number to call. But since I don't have international phone service, I had to flag down a stranger on the street and beg them to call the number for me. Luckily, they were kind enough to call the number for me. The owner was quick to come let me in once he received the call. This doesn't effect my rating of the place, but it was my first impression. I'm just glad it all worked out.

  Excellent stay, thank you Zum weiben Haus

  Liked: Location is perfect, right across the road from the HBF station. Easy walking distance to sights. Room was spacious, spotless, warm & comfortable. Communication with proprietor was easy and all msgs replied to in a very timely manner. Well worth every euro after ‘another’ cheaper hotel revealed at checkin that they didn’t have wifi in their rooms. No such problem here. I was also able to leave my bag for a couple of hrs after checkout 👍👍

  Charming, cosy place

  Liked: Hard to say what I liked most, actually I wanted to stay at a youth hostel but I was too late for check in which was my mistake because I didn’t let them know that I would be running late. So I had to change plans quickly since I wanted to participate at a run the next day. Luckily that hotel popped up and luckily they had one last room available. So glad that the youth hostel didn’t work. What a charming place. Breakfast made with love and eaten outside on the terrace surrounded by lavenders and rosemary. Within walking distance to the Bertha Klingbeil, where the race started and I could even take a quick shower after the run. Really grateful that my mistake turned out for my best
