Fabulous
weird handling of booking, nice garden
Liked: The second room we got was spacious and had two beds, as booked. The location is super convenient- everything in walking distance and in a nice neighbourhood. Also, the garden is cute.
Disliked: We (two friends travelling) booked a room specifically with twin beds. Before finalizing, we double-checked the listing, which explicitly stated "twin beds." But immediately after making a non-refundable (!) booking, we received an email stating that room types are assigned based on availability upon arrival. I called the hotel to ask if we could cancel due to this discrepancy, but I was told cancellation wasn't possible. Strangely, the staff member called me back shortly after, yet later claimed he had never made that call. The front desk had also emailed us in advance stating that despite our twin bed booking, none were available but we get the sea view room at the "rooftop garden" (spoiler, the room is super small and a garden, in my understanding, includes a plant). Since we couldn't cancel and with one of us sick, we were initially checked into a room with a French bed which is obviously everything but a normal-sized double bed... and neither a twin. The room itself was extremely small and dated. When I raised the issue, the receptionist said she couldn't change our room on her own and had to get approval from the hotel owner first—a surprisingly rigid, top-down process for a basic customer service issue. Management eventually moved us to a room with two beds, which was fine, but the hassle and lack of initial transparency were frustrating. Booking.com needs to investigate hotels whose room option descriptions do not match what is actually provided. Also, breakfast was very basic. Having just experienced such warm, genuine hospitality elsewhere in Greece, this stay was a disappointing contrast.
Liked: Great breakfast, super locacation.
Lovely relaxed stay in very pleasant and friendly hotel
Friendly staff Great location
Liked: Damitria front of house is so welcoming and helpful. Great location. Room spotless Can highly recommend
Disliked: Nothing
Nice little hotel close to the beach
Liked: Good Location Close to the beach and Aegina town +bus stop. Included breakfast was simple but Greek yoghurt suffices. Fridge in room.
Disliked: Showerhead did not stay in fixture in the shower. "System" of storing the keys on a counter open to all seems a bit sketchy. I suggest removing the tag and carrying the key on you. Walls quite thin so you hear neighbours, take ear plugs.
Liked: The receptionist is amazing and welcoming, she helped with navigations around the island and recommended good places to go eat at, overall best hotel service I've had. The breakfast is also really good and included which was great.
Disliked: The rooms were a bit crammed (upper garden suites) but other than that the hotel was great and beds were comfortable.
