Exceptional
Beautiful place to stay as a base for exploring Katapola
Liked: Romeo and Victoria were excellent hosts and were very helpful throughout our stay. The property is on a quiet walkway above the town and was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Katapola and Amorgos. Having a separate lounge to the bedroom was also a great feature.
Disliked: It would have been nice to have air conditioning in the bedroom not just the lounge. But having said that even in July it was never that hot and the fan kept us cool at night.
Liked: We had a pleasant stay overall. Romeo and Victoria are very nice, polite and welcoming. They provided bottles of water, fresh fruit upon arrival and the house itself has everything to make you feel like home. The location is very convenient for beaches, buses and getting around in general.
Disliked: There were a couple of communication gaps, they missed our agreed upon port pick up and there was no room cleaning or housekeeping during our 9 night stay. We were provided with clean towels when requested though.
Lovely house run by a lovely family. Enough room to accommodate 3 people Romeo and his mum were extremely helpful’. If y
Liked: Traditional Amorgos house, had everything we needed.
Disliked: Internet could be better
We loved the town, the views, the food, the people and the unit
Liked: Loved the unit. It was a hike up some stairs but the owner met us at the ferry and help carry our bag up to the unit. There was a small table and chairs on the walkway outside the unit which we used for meals. There was an amazing view of the harbor just a short walk down the street
Perfect stay
Liked: The location, the cleanliness, the facilities, the hosts, it has EVERYTHING you need. Casa Calda was the perfect stay for us. Starting from the communication with host-Romeo, who helped us with everything we needed (how to find the property, and answered all our questations during our stay, gave us advice regarding the beaches, ferries etc). His family was wonderful, there for us but also not intruding. The apartment itself is probably the cleanest i have ever been in Greece. It is spacious, there is a separate bedroom, with the big closet space, where you can fit all your clothes. The kitchen/leaving room area is big, and equiped with everything you might need. There is also a washing machine. Little things like soap, shampoo, cooking utensills, olive oil, all the spices, there was everything. On the day we arrived they welcomed us with the big plate of fruits, water, juice, which was really nice. To sum up, one of the best experiences in Greece so far. We will definitely be back.
Disliked: There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
Cosy and well equipped apartment, lovely hosts
Liked: This was a most positive experience! The cosy apartment is situated in the beautiful little village Xilokeratidi in the Katapola area. Our holiday home had a spacious living room with sitting and dining areas plus a fully equipped kitchen. There was everything one could wish - and even more. Additionally there was a bed room and a small bathroom. The apartment was richly decorated with small colourful items and figurines so that one could think of staying in granny's home, and not at a hotel or guest house. Everything was perfectly organised and 100 percent clean and tidy. There was no balcony or terrace but chairs and table in front of the house in the pretty small lane. We enjoyed our breakfasts there in the morning sunshine watching people and village cats. We first met the host's mother Victoria who took us to the apartment, and later the host Romeo himself. Both were warm and helpful persons. Casa calda will for sure be our first choice when visiting Katapola/Xilokeratidi again.
