  It'll do if nothing else in town is available

  Liked: If you are the type of traveler that is happy staying in a hostel... this is the place for you. Our time in Delphi apparently overlapped with some long-distance footrace that was also happening, which explains why practically every place we tried to book was sold out, and why we ended up here. The hotel was better than sleeping in our car On the bright side, the older couple who worked the breakfast area every day were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast itself was the typical European hotel b'fast - a spread of various foods that you help yourself to - but with less choice. Yet it provided the basics. The hotel is centrally located in Delphi (but all of them are). The room was clean enough. The view of Itea and the olive grove from the balcony was excellent.

  Disliked: Housekeeping is basically non-existent in the hotel. We came back to our room after our first day out to find it unlocked (we'd locked it when we left). OK, housekeeping has been here - yay! But the only evidence of their visit (aside from the unlocked door) was that they'd removed the bathroom trash. No change of dirty coffee/water cups for clean, no refresh of the toilet paper, no change of the towels, no straightening the beds, no removal of room trash (empty water bottles, etc). On our return to the room after days 2 and 3 there was no evidence at all of any housekeeping visit - and by now we're running out of TP, and getting tired of using the same cups/glasses for 3 days straight, so I had to go ask the guy at the front desk. I finally swipe a roll of TP from an adjacent unlocked room while waiting for him to show. He finally did bring us some clean cups/glasses and another roll of TP, then left. Soon after arrival I'd noticed that half of the light bulbs in the bathroom were burned out - it was quite dim in there. Asked Mr. Front Desk to please replace the bulb while we were out. Sure, he'll take care of it he says. It never got fixed our entire visit. No deadbolt on the room door, the sliding door to the patio wouldn't lock at all, no 'Do not disturb' or 'Clean my room' door knob hangers. No coffee or tea in the room - just an electric kettle. TV has about 20 local channels (all in Greek) so no international English (or any other language for that matter) channels. Each day when we'd return mid-afternoon from an outing and want a shower, we found no hot water - the hot water in the shower was only slightly warmer than room temperature. There was an annoying exhaust fan in the bathroom wall - the kind that comes on when you turn on the room light - that made way too much noise and needs to be replaced. I'd sent a message via booking.

  Facilities were not good but the location is convenient

  Liked: Very well located

  Disliked: I had selected a double room with Mountain View. Upon arrival we were told it will be a twin room but with a better view which was not true as the view was obstructed by another building. The shower was extremely small and the floor was not clean. There was no power socket near the bed, only a multi socket hanging from the wall which looked unsafe.

  Liked: Friendly owner let us store our bikes in the lobby and was flexible when we needed to change dates. The views from the hotel were amazing!
