Beautiful, simple, remote, only two units so extra quiet!
Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at the Aloni. With two decent-sized bedrooms it’s perfect for a small family or two friends who like to stay more remotely for extra quiet (although nothing in Folegandros is going to be loud anywhere really). The space was clean, well-kept, beautiful minimal decorations with a view from the window and the small porch over the water- amazing. Nice sized fridge and lovely kitchen area. Table outside on a porch was lovely but we never used because we were always at a beach or restaurant. Everything in Folegandros is close so distance from town is not an issue ASSUMING you have a car. Do not stay without a car if it’s hot because you don’t want to walk much or wait for a bus in the heat. There is a parking spot for you at Aloni. Our host Maria was just incredible- very responsive and kind and so helpful!!
Disliked: Nothing we did not like. I would say not the ideal place for small children if they are runners because you are close to the road and hillside but if you keep a close eye on them- it’s ok.
