Exceptional
Calm, floral oasis near Chora!
Liked: Fantastic family-run property a few mins walk from the Chora. It’s colourful, floral, and beautifully decorated in Cyclades style, as well as quiet (but close to everything you need). The owners are super helpful, giving you good tips, and ready to assist with anything.
Disliked: Nothing!
Liked: The place is incredible. You felt at home. I want to come back. We received very good infirmation and advices about this magical island. The host was very kind, helpfull and very very generous.
Disliked: The end of ower visit.
Great choice
Liked: We loved everything about the property run by a lovely couple Theo and Aneti supported by friendly cleaners.. Our preferred location, just outside town and with a 'hamlet' atmosphere. Lovely views. Very comfortable large bed.
Disliked: All was great.
Liked: Theo and his team are very welcoming and work hard to ensure that Ampolos is a great place to stay. The setting is lovely with good views over the chora towards the church of Panagia and the grounds are well laid out with interesting individual touches which really make a difference. The staff are great and the whole site is clean and relaxing. The rooms are tasteful and the beds are comfortable.
Disliked: Not a dislike but the bathrooms are quite small and dark and there is no cutlery or crockery available for light snacks or drinks.( I'm sure they would have been provided had we asked but this is just a comment.)
Too short
Liked: This place is special. The whole place looks like a well designed movie set, and you get to be in it. The view looking over the pool to the church is amazing anytime of the day or night. The property is well kept, with flowers and herbs everywhere. Rooms are very well done with detail and purpose in mind. One of the few places that it's actually better than the pictures show. Theo and Areti are truly fantastic hosts and made our visit very memorable,Thank you.
Disliked: Having to leave.
We stayed 8 days and loved every minute. Folegandros is a special place, and Ampelos is wonderful!
Liked: The location was perfect for us as we like a little walk to get to and from meals. The views were beautiful, it was quiet and spotless. Theo was a great host and he met us at the port.
Disliked: a better shower head perhaps, but it was fine.
