Exceptional
Liked: The owner was very helpful. Answered all our questions very promptly. Let us stay even after the check-out time, which was very welcome, since it rained that day. The appartment was well stocked with everything you may need - from extra blankets to salt, sugar, tee and coffee...
Disliked: Beware of mosquitoes. But they would be everywhere this time of year, I guess. The umbrellas are located in the bedroom, so I found them too late ☺️
Hydra home from home at Grandma's
Liked: The host Vasso was amazing, left us a welcome basket, teas, coffees, starter pack of breakfast items and met us at the harbour. The space was great, lovely garden yard with seating, surrounded by kittens. Plenty of utensils in the kitchen, traditional home, clean with good views of the hills. It is 10 minutes to the supermarket. If you want something modern and trendy this is not for you but we loved it. You can book a mule to carry your luggage uphill, via Vasso.
Disliked: It is a residential area, with 15 minutes up a steep hill to walk with your case from the harbour and 25 steps to the property.

Liked: Our stay at Grandmas house at Hydra was wonderful!! The hosts met us at the port when we arrived and had arranged with a mule to help us with our luggage (the same when we went home again), and they walked with us to the house. The house is super cosy, very authentic Hydra and have very comfortable beds. The outide area is lovely with many plants and it is so quiet and peaceful there - we really enjoyed this <3
Disliked: The house is 15/20 min walking from the port and quite a step hill at the end, it can be a bit challenging if you have a 2 year old in a stroller - so its good to know about this, but even though, it was totally worth the days we had in Grandmas House:)) We will come back!
